Frequently Asked Questions

    Getting Started

You can book an appointment through the contact form on this website, by phone, or by email.

The first session is primarily an assessment where we'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your background, and your goals. I'll explain my approach and answer any questions you have. This session helps us establish if we're a good match and allows me to start forming a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

The duration of therapy varies widely depending on your goals and the issues being addressed. Some clients benefit from short-term therapy (8-12 sessions) focused on specific issues, while others prefer longer-term work for deeper exploration. We'll discuss an estimated timeline during your initial sessions and regularly review your progress.

    Logistics

Individual therapy sessions are CHF 180 per 50-minute session. Couples therapy sessions are CHF 220 per 60-minute session. The initial consultation is CHF 200 as it involves a more comprehensive assessment.

I require 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged the full fee, except in cases of genuine emergency.

Yes, I offer secure online video sessions that follow the same structure as in-person therapy. Online therapy is convenient for clients who travel frequently, have mobility issues, or prefer the comfort of their own space. All online sessions are conducted through a GDPR-compliant, encrypted platform.

    Insurance and Payment

Psychological psychotherapy is a service covered by Swiss health insurance and is paid through the basic insurance (Grundversicherung). A prerequisite is a medical prescription from your general practitioner or a psychiatrist. Basic insurance only covers the costs of therapy for mental and psychosomatic disorders. Costs for services in the areas of coaching, personal development, self-exploration, and personality growth are not covered. Remote therapy is not covered by Swiss health insurance.

I will invoice you for the therapy sessions and indicate an IBAN for the payment.

    Therapy Approach

My integrative approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Ego-State and Resource Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness-Based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - creating a space where resilience, clarity, and inner strength can grow.

Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum in the therapeutic process. As you progress, we may transition to bi-weekly or monthly sessions. The frequency is flexible and will be adjusted based on your needs and goals.

Confidentiality is fundamental to the therapeutic relationship. Everything you share remains confidential with a few legal exceptions: if there is risk of harm to yourself or others, suspicion of child or elder abuse, or if records are subpoenaed by court order. I will always discuss these limits to confidentiality in detail during our first session.
